Delta Air Lines, Inc. Director of US Marketing in Atlanta, Georgia

The Director of US Marketing Communications is responsible for the development and stewardship of Delta's brand strategy globally, and for the creation and execution of strategic marketing programs that build consumer awareness, deliver exceptional experiences, and ultimately drive loyalty of the Delta brand.

The Director of US Marketing Communications will have leadership responsibility for Brand Marketing, CRM, and Social Media. Performance measurement will center on growing preference for Delta, deepening customer engagement with the brand, and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities:

Drive the leadership, direction, and development of Delta consumer and business marketing strategy, plans, and execution

Identify primary target segments and deliver best-in-class content and solutions through direct, mass, and house channels

Lead the strategy and plan that enhances Delta's brand preference and revenue generation through evolving direct marketing/social media capabilities and channels

Design connections planning map to define right message, at the right time at the right channel leveraging owned, earned and paid channels

Responsible for translating Delta's core objectives from all focus areas of Delta into actionable marketing communication plans across channels

Effectively develop strategy and prioritization around communication needs to market plans in support of key cross-organizational business objectives

Define future tone, voice and look and ensure the proper translation of Delta's brand across all channels

Responsible for all national content development for traditional and digital advertising, as well as internal/house channels

Lead the social media channel and communications strategy for development and distribution of best-in-class content that connects directly with high-value Delta customers and potential customers with personalized, data-driven messages influencing preference for Delta and reinforcing differentiation from competitors

Lead development of Delta's CRM strategy ensuring a desired audience can be reached with the right message, right offer at the right time to drive increased engagement, making Delta their airline of choice.

Responsible for evolving targeted channel communication from email to mobile and message audiences based on that data influencing customer's mindset during travel ribbons to stimulate and create demand for various products and services, including ancillary revenue opportunities

Define measurement plan and set up appropriate tools to evaluate success

Support the development of analysis for all owned marketing channels and programs; including defining the metrics and measurement strategy to evaluate the success of communications programs, strategies and efforts and partnering with Marketing Analytics to ensure targeting, measurement, technology platforms, research efforts and brand measurement are utilized to their full potential.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline required, plus a minimum of 10 years of related experience required

MBA or equivalent work experience preferred

Demonstrated 10+ years of experience working with or at marketing agencies

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities at any given time

Must be able to lead and work collaboratively and excel in a cross-functional environment

Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to present to senior leadership at any given time

Executive presence and ability to successfully maneuver within a large corporate environment

Proven excellence in written and oral communication skills

Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

20% domestic travel is required
