Position: Pacific Inventory Senior Analyst

Position Summary: The Pacific Inventory Senior Analyst is responsible for optimizing revenue performance on Delta's Asia and Australia network by forecasting consumer demand and managing seat inventory in order to strategically test customer willingness to pay. The role will execute inventory allocation strategies and manage demand through an analysis of booking activity, historical traffic trends, the pricing environment, industry capacity trends and competitive factors.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop, analyze, and implement inventory and market strategies while evaluating competitor activity, flight/market performance, post-departure results and trends to identify and leverage future opportunities.

Craft revenue maximizing strategies for Delta's newest wide-body aircraft, the A350-900 and A330-900NEO, with particular emphasis on the Delta One Suite and Delta Premium Select products.

Work closely with Joint Venture and Asia based sales teams to optimize Delta and Joint Venture metal performance.

Initiate appropriate action to maximize unit revenue, maintain/increase market share, and measure the performance of each fare product by market and customer segment.

Routinely communicate flight/market performance feedback to leadership and key stakeholders, including Pricing and Strategy, Inventory Strategy, Network, Sales, Reservations Sales, and Airport Customer Service, and work with RM Systems and IT to recommend inventory system enhancements.

Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects around opportunities to improve TPAC revenue and P/L performance.

Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


Bachelor's degree required.

At least two years of experience in the airline industry required.

Microsoft Word, Power, Point, and Excel are required.

Inventory management experience is preferred; familiarity with airline economic concepts, including seat allocation, overbooking and revenue optimization, is required.

Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions is required.

Ability to independently structure and resolve problems by incorporating relevant factors and grasping mathematical concepts related to inventory and market management is required.

Major in Business, Finance, and Marketing or any analytical discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience with Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Network Planning, Revenue Management or Finance experience is preferred..

Hyperion / Brio experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

Flexibility responding to unexpected situations and desire to learn is critical for success.

Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
