Delta Air Lines, Inc. Senior Business Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work in the AIR4 Support Team. This is an exciting role offering the chance to interface with both Delta and Virgin Atlantic Airlines, supporting the AIR4 product suite with our first partner airline. The role of the Senior Business Analyst is to support, communicate and facilitate change by building strong relationships with our key partners within Virgin Atlantic Airways. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding and tracking the technology changes made in the Delta IT environment, and properly assessing any impact to the AIR4 product suite. Documenting, communicating and working with Virgin Atlantic Airways to take the necessary steps to be ready to accept these technology changes, and any ensuing process changes, will be a large part of this job. Relationship Management and Account Management is central to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE

-Manage the relationship between Delta IT and Virgin Atlantic Airways' business and IT teams, meeting on a regular basis, and identifying potential new business initiatives and future projects

-Understanding the impact of IT changes within Delta, and how they will effect Virgin Atlantic Airways

-Proactively identify opportunities to leverage Delta's technical solutions and emerging technologies to facilitate these solutions to Delta's AIR4 partner airlines

-Provide expertise and collaborate with Virgin Atlantic Airways' business units, IT leaders, project teams, and other support teams, on business as usual, and new IT project initiatives, that impact Revenue Management, Ticketing and Revenue Accounting technology

-Identify gaps in the Delta application functionality, and work with the application teams, to provide solutions that may be needed for Virgin Atlantic Airways

-Work with application support and IT development teams to fix software bugs and escalate issues for Virgin Atlantic Airways

-Facilitate and participate in regular project status reviews, and status meetings, related to Virgin Atlantic Airways

-Take ownership of Account Management and Relationship Management tasks and deliverables for Virgin Atlantic Airways as related to the AIR4 product suite

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with three (3) or more years of IT and/or business experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training

-Ability to create detailed, well-written documentation for a variety of audiences

-Ability to multi-task, and be detail oriented

-Facilitation and communication skills needed to work in partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways

-Excellent relationship management and influencing skills

-Expert with Delta's Ancillary, Ticketing and Revenue Accounting systems/applications and their functions and interfaces.

-Prior experience working in a Revenue Management or Ticketing role is a plus

-Strong business knowledge in Delta's Revenue Management, Ticketing and Revenue Accounting processes and technology
