Delta Air Lines, Inc. Senior Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

The Senior Engineer is responsible for the configuration control of assigned equipment for Delta and Delta's customers such as the CRJ200/700/900 and ERJ170/175 Aircraft and General Electric Power Plant

Maintains compliance with applicable FAA, OSHA, EPA, regulations, customer requirements and Delta's Technical Operations Policy and Procedures (TOPP) pertaining to the development of equipment alterations and repairs.

Position includes review and disposition of incoming manufacturer's service bulletins and other correspondence, the determination of applicability to Delta and Delta's customers, the evaluation (including a cost/benefit study) to make a retrofit recommendation, the development of an incorporation plan and the preparation of the technical documentation utilizing TOPP procedures to effect the plan.

Position also involves in-direct support for shop, hanger and line maintenance in troubleshooting and providing corrective actions, including repair development, for CRJ 200/700/900 and ERJ 170/175 Aircraft and General Electric Power Plant.

Performs analysis of reliability trends and develops proactive plans to prevent reliability problems by implementing corrective actions as required.

Qualifications

  • 4 years engineering experience required.

  • 2 years experience in an airline Engineering environment. CRJ200/700/900 and ERJ170/175 Aircraft and General Electric Power Plant preferred.

  • Candidate must be willing to travel to Delta's Connection carriers Technical Operations bases and MRO customer locations as required.

  • Candidate must be available for Delta's Technical Operations on-site job training and business familiarization required during the initial period of employment

  • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.

  • Experience with programing (Python, C++, or other language) preferred
